The Karnataka High Court has stayed the ban on Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna imposed by the All India Tennnis Association. Justice Mohan Shanthanagoudar pronounced the interim stay on the ban after hearing the petition filed by both the players. The court has also sent a notice to AITA about the stay order, and said that they can reply to the same.
The Tennis Association had not selected them to represent the country in any capacity over the next two years for their refusal to partner Leander Paes in this year’s London Olympics.
